Ace Atkins (1970-) is a former crime reporter with the Tampa Tribune. He was born in Troy, Alabama and attended Auburn University. Atkin's Nick Traver's series blends crime research and fiction into a appealing mix of complex characters set within in the atmosphere of the music world. His novel White Shadow is a departure from his Nick Traver's novels. It's setting is Tampa's Latin Quarter and delves into the Cuban and Sicilian gang world.
