Alison Lurie (1926-) is the author of many highly praised novels, including The War Between the Tates, The Truth About Lorin Jones (Prix Femina Etranger), and Foreign Affairs (Pulitzer Prize for fiction). Lurie teaches writing, folklore, and literature at Cornell University.
Since 1970, Alison Lurie has spent part of the winter in Key West, Florida, which is the setting for much of The Truth About Lorin Jones (1989).
