Daína Chaviano is a native of Havana, Cuba. Since 1991, Chaviano has resided in Miami, FL. Two of Chaviano's books have received the Florida Book Award in the category of Spanish Language Book: La Isla De Los Amores Infinitos and Island of Eternal Love. Chaviano's books have been translated in many languages. Her's most recent novel, Island of Eternal Love, is her first book to be tranlated in English.
