Eliot Kleinberg (1956 - ) is a native Floridian who is obsessed with Florida's past. In addition to his local history column in the "Palm Beach Post", Kleinberg has written several books about Florida history. His most popular book, Black Cloud, provides an in-depth look into the devastating 1928 hurricane that ravaged the Lake Okeechobee area and killed more than 2,000 people. He is currently working on his book, Peace River, which will be his first attempt at ficiton.
