George Dawes Green (1954-) is the author of the highly acclaimed novel The Caveman's Valentine, as well as a poet whose work has appeared in The Ontario Review, Carolina Quarterly, and other literary publications. Green's first novel, The Caveman's Valentine, was awarded the Edgar Allan Poe first novel award by the Mystery Writers of America in 1995. Green lives in Key West, Florida.
