Johnny Payne is a creative writing professor at Florida Atlantic University's Boca Raton campus. Payne has also directed a creative writing program for Northwestern University in Cusco, Peru. Payne has written books of literary criticism as well as novels and plays. His particular field of study includes authors from Central and South America that have been not as popular as authors such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
