Richard Fontaine Hill (1941- 1999), a native of St. Petersburg, graduated from Boca Ciega High School.
Hill taught at Northeast High School, St. Petersburg, USF and St. Petersburg Junior College. In 1973 Hill won the O. Henry Award for his short story, Out in the Garage, based on his childhood memories.
