Robin Cook (1940-) is an American physician who is best known for writing medical thrillers. Cook has a B.A. from Wesleyan University, an M.D. from Columbia University and postgraduate study from Harvard University. Dr. Robin Cook is the author of thirty previous books and is credited with popularizing the medical thriller with his wildly successful first novel, Coma. Currently on leave from the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, he divides his time between Boston and Florida
