Shelley Fraser Mickle was born and raised in Arkansas and Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Mississippi. She currently lives in Alachua County, Florida were she lives with her family and three horses and dog. Mickle is a frequent commentator for Mid-Florida Public Radio.
